The engineered systems are increasing their presence on the market. Are the days of traditional systems numbered?

In this presentation, George will explore the limits of the traditional systems:

  • Is it possible to achieve 100K+ IOPS for OLTP or 5+GB/s for warehouse workloads with traditional systems?
  • What are the areas where one needs to pay attention when planning a system?
  • How to formulate a request to the storage and OS teams?
  • What is a balanced system and how to build one?
  • How to pick the proper configuration to push the IO subsystem to its limits?
