Biography

Stephan HaisleyStephan Haisley originally joined the UK Oracle Worldwide Support group in 1996 and has since worked in various groups within Oracle. Currently, he is a member of the Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) group within RDBMS development and works from home in Denver, Colorado. There, he focuses on various GoldenGate projects, including configuration best practices with High Availability in mind, scalability/performance, and product manageability.

Stephan has spoken at many Oracle conferences including RMOUG, UKOUG, IOUG-A, UTOUG, and previous Hotsos Symposia.

Oracle GoldenGate: Integrated Extract/Delivery Performance

Abstract

Oracle GoldenGate was enhanced in 12c to introduce Integrated Delivery, whereby the Replicat processing is integrated into the RDBMS. This provides significant improvement to manageability of Replicat configuration, as well as performance improvements. This presentation will describe how GoldenGate is integrated into the RDBMS (Extract and Replicat), provide configuration recommendations and discuss some of the advantages of using these new features, including some example performance gains.
